A mini post this week and a departure for me as it’s just about one product – the new L’Oréal Dream Lengths Wonder Water.
I’d seen this on a few beauty experts Instagram and was intrigued. It’s quite literally a miracle treatment for longer hair so I felt it deserved its own review. Miraculous I think because it’s so quick, literally 8 seconds is all you need to have it on for. No sitting around endlessly with a mask on and your wet hair dripping down your shoulders, no, this is speedy which I think is the first major plus point.
It’s a water texture as the name suggests, so I found the application a little more difficult. You put it on your mid lengths and ends after shampooing, but can’t, as you would a normal cream texture, put it in your hands and smooth on. I found I had to hold my hair each side and pour the water on it, I’m sure I’ll get used to that though.
You then massage it a bit and I combed it through with a wide tooth comb. It has a really helpful guide on the bottle so you can see how much to use, the recommendations vary depending on your hair thickness and length. I then used a bit of normal conditioner afterwards.
And the result? Wow! Very soft, very manageable hair and critically, no heaviness. There’s no silicone in it, so it’s perfect for fine hair which a lot of intensive treatments aren’t. It has a soft, subtle scent that I loved, a sort of ‘expensive salon’ fragrance if you will. My hair also had a lot of bounce and general ‘swooshiness’ (I know that’s not an actual word but feels the perfect adjective here). The best bit? It’s £9.99! There are about 8-10 treatments per bottle, depending on how much you need to use, so a complete bargain if you ask me. (At the time of writing, Superdrug have it on offer for £4.95, run, don’t walk!)
