I’ve been a member of Beauty Pie from the beginning, mainly as I have a massive girl crush on Marcia Kligore, the brains behind it, who is such an entrepreneurial inspiration, creating Bliss Spa, the Fitflop, Soap and Glory and recently Soaper Duper products as well as Beauty Pie. Often called a ‘disrupter’, I just think she has the magic, intuitive touch and knows what women are looking for. If you’re not familiar, it’s a membership service, but you choose the products you want, and get them at factory prices.
I checked my account and I signed up in March 2017, so over three years I’ve been ordering and have tried a lot of the products, I have the £10 membership, I once did the math on that yearly cost, plus what I would buy without it and for me it’s worth it. I tend to use the skincare more than the makeup as I think it’s superior and I don’t like trying colours from online as much, (I do wish they’d do videos like Glossier do.) My friends ask me a lot which products I recommend so here are the ones I buy on repeat.
Superactive Pure Double Vitamin C and Vitamin E Serum
I literally panic if these are getting low and I don’t have any spare stock, I love them! It’s the first product I use after cleansing in the morning, they can slightly sting when you first use if you verge on sensitive, but they brighten and even out skin tone so well. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant anyway, fighting the free radicals that cause collagen breakdown and therefore wrinkles. My absolute must have.

Superactive Pure 3% Resveratrol & Exotic Fruit Oils
These I use at night, as my second serum, (yes I know…two, I’ll do a night routine post at some point!) This is an anti-oxidant with resveratrol, one of the most powerful antioxidants. Basically, it leaves my skin incredibly smooth and soft to the touch, job done. Both the vitamin C and this one come in completely biodegradable capsules and are perfect for travelling.

Plantastic TM Apricot butter cleansing Balm
This is my absolute favourite cleanser in the winter when my skin is generally drier, but works all year round. The balm texture is fab, it smells lovely, you can get a really good massage with it and what I particularly love about all Beauty Pie cleansers is nothing stings my eyes, so I can use it everywhere. I use it as my second cleanse at night, after I’ve removed my makeup with micellar water.

Jeju Daily Multi-Phase Purifying Cleansing Milk
If I don’t use the Plantastic and more in spring / summer, I use this milk as a second night cleanse. It feels very gentle and massages into an oil, I take off both cleansers with a warm flannel and my skin feels great.

Super Healthy Skin Nourishing Body Wash
This is a really lovely, non drying body wash. It has aloe vera, geranium and tonka bean oils, pure Coconut-derived suds and a beautiful, fresh orange scent. I did try the body cream in this range as well, and though it smelt amazing, for me it felt more like a lotion and didn’t hydrate as much as I need for my very dry skin, but if you usually use a lotion not a cream, then it’s good.

I’ve got a lot of Beauty Pie makeup brushes and I’ve been really impressed with the quality. I use the all over face brush as a blusher brush. I also like the pro angled cheek brush for highlighter and the pro contour eye shadow brush is a great size. The bristles are incredibly soft and don’t fall out at all, really good value. They have previously done a set which I bought my sister-in-law for Christmas and a mini travel set which I bought myself, I’m sure they might come back at some point.

Although I said I didn’t use much of the makeup, these Shimmerbars are an exception. They bear a lot of resemblance to the Bobbi Brown ones. They’re really pretty and buildable so can be subtle if you want. I have both shades, Surgardrip, a rosy glow and Lumineer, more of a bronze, I tend to use Sugardrip more for my skin tone, but both are lovely.
